Quick Wins for Everyday Work

The Practical Microsoft Copilot Toolkit

A focused, results-first training session for teams who are ready to actually use AI, not just talk about AI

Overview

Your team already has access to Microsoft Copilot. But access isn’t the same as adoption — and adoption without the right foundation leads to frustration, wasted licenses, and missed opportunities. The Practical Microsoft Copilot Toolkit is a hands-on introductory training session designed to get your team from “we have this tool” to “we’re actually using it well” — fast. Through live demonstrations, real workflows, and practical examples across Microsoft 365, participants will leave with the skills, confidence, and habits to start generating real value on day one.

Why this Training Matters

Most organizations don’t fail with Copilot because the technology doesn’t work. They fail because their teams were never shown how to use it — which version does what, how to write prompts that actually produce useful outputs, and which tasks are worth handing to AI in the first place.

Without clear guidance, employees either avoid the tool entirely or use it ineffectively, reinforcing the belief that “AI isn’t really that useful.” This training closes that gap with structured, practical instruction that is grounded in the tools your team already uses every day.

What Your Team Will Be Able to Do

After completing this training, participants will be able to:

  • Explain the difference between Copilot Basic and Copilot Premium — and use each appropriately
  • Navigate Copilot confidently across Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and OneDrive
  • Write effective prompts by specifying context, audience, format, and desired outcomes
  • Apply Copilot to high-value, everyday tasks: summarizing documents, drafting emails, analyzing data, extracting action items, and comparing files
  • Use Copilot’s Agents and Notebooks features to save repetitive effort and synthesize large volumes of information
  • Apply appropriate judgment around AI accuracy, verification, and data privacy — including what not to put into a free AI tool

Who This Is For

This training is purpose-built for small and mid-sized organizations (typically 10–500 employees) who are on the Microsoft 365 ecosystem and want a practical, non-technical path to getting value from Copilot quickly.

It is an ideal fit if your team:

  • Has Copilot licenses but low or inconsistent adoption
  • Hears about AI constantly but isn’t sure where to start
  • Wants early wins and practical skills — not theory or technical deep dives
  • Includes knowledge workers, managers, operations staff, or administrators who spend significant time in Outlook, Word, Excel, OR PowerPoint
  • Needs training that connects to real tasks, not generic AI demos

This is not a technical course. No coding, IT background, or prior AI experience is required.

What Participants Walk Away With

Beyond the session itself, every participant leaves with:

  • A clear mental model of the Copilot ecosystem — versions, experiences, and where each one lives
  • Practical prompting habits they can apply immediately across different apps and task types
  • A set of high-value, low-complexity use cases they can start using the same day
  • Confidence to experiment with Copilot in a structured, responsible way
  • An honest understanding of where AI helps, where it falls short, and how to verify outputs appropriately
